Cookies and browser storage

1. Cookies

gambit_sessione

Keeps you signed in to the game. It lasts 400 days, or until you sign out. The page's scripts can't read it.

gambit_lingua

Remembers the language you chose, for the pages the server writes, like this one. It lasts a year.

2. Browser storage

The game keeps a few things in your browser's storage (localStorage). Your 12 words are never sent to us; your choices and your quick-game tally we carry over to your account, so you find them on another device.

gambit.parole

Your 12 words, written as a number, and your public key. If you clear your browser's storage you lose them from here: write them down on paper first.

gambit.ospite

Who you are as a guest: a random code, from which your guest name is born.

If you say you're under 13, the month and year you gave: that way the question doesn't come back, and the game waits for you. It stays only in your browser: nothing reaches the game, and it goes away when an account is born in this browser.

3. The game offline

So the game opens offline too, the browser keeps a copy of it (the pages, the card images, the music and the effects) and a copy of your game data (the profile, the collection, the decks, the campaign), which is deleted when you sign out or delete your account. They're the service worker's caches:

4. What we don't use

No cookies from other sites, no ads, no tools that follow you from one site to another, no device fingerprinting. We count visits on the server, with no extra cookies (Privacy notice).

5. How to delete them

You can delete the game's cookies and storage from your browser's settings, whenever you like. Write down your 12 words on paper first: without them, clearing the storage loses your account. If you block cookies, the game can't keep you signed in.
